Objective

Fansville is where college football is 24/7, 365 – and Dr Pepper is fueling that incredible fandom, the fans’ hope, rivalry and competition, every step of the way. With a wide range of assets to pull from the episodic parody TV show drama we wanted to bring the look and feel of small college town America into the retail setting to help Dr Pepper standout and fuel college football fandom.  In reviewing the creative assets from the above-the-line campaign we wanted to transport shoppers to the fandom state of mind by bringing the tailgate to the retail setting.

To achieve this, we designed a corrugate display that could handle a wide variety of product assortment sizes ranging from 2 Liters to six-packs to 12-packs. The sides of the display used imagery showcasing the town of Fansville; the shelves and structural components of the display were finished in the signature Dr Pepper maroon; and to bring the tailgate concept to life we created a three dimensional bed of a truck that also served as the top shelf of the display evoking the feeling of being part of a small college football town tailgate.
